Who They Are

Bonnie is an artist working with plastic pollution and waste, collecting discarded materials from the very places depicted and transforming them into intricate collages. The process is slow and meticulous, piecing together rubbish to create something whole.his project represents both a personal and creative reconnection. Born in London, where their family has lived for generations, the artist has spent years gathering materials from Cornwall’s shores and integrating them into their art. Now, attention turns to the Thames—collecting plastic waste, documenting its journey, and repurposing it into a large-scale collage. No paint. No brushes. Just rubbish.

It is a process of transformation: taking what has been discarded and turning it into something that demands attention, challenging perceptions of waste and beauty. The river flows into the sea, just as this work reflects a reconnection to London. As the artist gathers materials, they will document the process in a book—a companion to the final artwork—filled with sketches, colours, notes, and its evolution.
